Whilst most of the politicians and scare mongers across the UK speculated over what may or may not happen over the coming weeks, the savvy German Senator, Cordelia Yzer was looking at how Berlin could turn this vote to their advantage and make their tech hubs look more attractive to start ups. What is the impact on the London start up scene - surely Stockholm, Dublin and the likes will see this as there time to draw in the Loins share of new investment?
The Berlin Senator for Economics and Technology was not chatting to fellow politicians, but with start-ups and global funds, who, in the wake of Brexit, are now considering Germany's capital as their base. "Those companies who have headquarters in London are aware that they need to be in the EU," she says. "We had competition in the last two or three years between London and Berlin. I am convinced that more funds will now make the decision in favour of Berlin."
