It's good to see the Government engaging with tech companies about Brexit. It's such an important sector of our economy - and we see that in the many discussions we have with fast growth tech companies. And not just the obvious tech companies, but others who are using technology to drive fast growth in their more traditional businesses.
All those businesses need a post-Brexit plan. The UK should still be a great place for a tech business and we have an extensive tax treaty network that will help those based here to expand rapidly overseas. Our UK tax system is also attractive to many - with low corporation tax, R&D incentives and patent box for the innovative, and a commitment to continue encouraging investment in innovation.
Technology is one of the fastest growing sectors in Britain, expanding twice as fast as the UK economy as a whole in 2014. In recent weeks it has given the UK a massive vote of confidence with Apple, Google and Facebook announcing a raft of new jobs and significant investment in our economy over the coming years.
